Technical Description

The handle of the D9plus uses internal lightening pockets to reduce the weight of the knife by over an ounce from the original. It features the same relatively straight-forward shape, made from 6Al4V titanium with 3D machining and a dark stonewashed finish. It carries extremely well with its thin profile and milled titanium pocket clip. The 3.75" blade is now a clip point shape, yet still made from the excellent S35VN stainless steel. The jimping on both the handle and thumbramp are very functional and make for an excellent grip. The caged ball bearing pivot yields equally smooth action using the jimped flipper mechanism and the dual thumbstuds/blade stops. It features a replaceable steel lockbar insert/over-extender preventer and copper .45 cal lockbar stabilizer. Reate Knives are known for being top tier everyday carry blades with price tags well below their quality level.
